Position Overview:

This role is based in a collaborative environment where you will be responsible for establishing and executing quality systems focused on product returns, complaint resolution, and comprehensive root cause analysis to enhance the CAPA process and streamline new product development within a manufacturing context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate system data to identify primary factors contributing to suboptimal processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance Quality initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in data collection and Quality software, including QC Gage and QC Calc.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Investigate production and supplier nonconformance data to ascertain root causes.
  • Assess customer returns to identify underlying issues promptly.
  • Refine QMS procedures and documentation to comply with ISO Standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis within the CAPA framework utilizing DMAIC methodology and 8D/5 Why techniques.
  • Independently develop PFMEA and Capability Studies, PPAP for customer deliverables, and enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Review and validate Engineering/Customer specifications, ensuring familiarity with Reach and RoHS requirements.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
  • Proficient in the use of measurement tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks.
  • Fundamental understanding of quality systems, including statistics and sampling techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with GD&T and Engineering specifications is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems standards is beneficial.
