We are looking for a seasoned Traffic Engineer/ITS Engineer Practice Lead to become a vital part of our Mobility and Planning Group, based in any of our California offices. This role is crucial in designing transportation networks that improve mobility and contribute to the development of both urban and rural environments. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of technical knowledge in traffic engineering principles, exceptional leadership abilities, and the capacity to leverage our strengths within the market. Responsibilities include overseeing the planning and execution of TE/ITS projects, understanding market demands, identifying business opportunities, and nurturing client relationships. As a manager, you will supervise teams, manage project timelines, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture client relationships to expand the practice in TE design and ITS planning.
- Lead and manage TE/ITS projects from inception to completion.
- Identify market trends through participation in conferences, seminars, and regulatory processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative transportation solutions.
- Work seamlessly with internal groups and networks to secure and fulfill project commitments.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and understanding of client needs.
- Contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities and participating in proposal creation.
- Assist in preparing marketing materials and presentations.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on TE/ITS strategies.
- Mentor junior staff in TE/ITS methodologies and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to inform equitable transportation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant transportation regulations and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with expertise in the TE/ITS domain.
- Desire and ability to cultivate relationships and business in the TE/ITS sector within the US west region.
- Strong business acumen to secure TE/ITS projects for existing and new clients.
- Ability to mentor and share knowledge within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven leadership in managing and delivering TE/ITS projects.
