At Toyota, we're seeking a highly skilled Technical Analysis Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Analysis Group (TAG), you'll play a critical role in analyzing technical issues related to vehicle safety, performance, and quality.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate reported product concerns and product performance
  • Managing the technical aspects of field incident evaluation, including accident analysis, quality performance, and customer vehicle concerns
  • Providing design analysis and forensic engineering support concerning design history, vehicle crash test performance, regulatory compliance, and government testing
  • Developing engineering evaluations and opinions through design analysis and technical analysis

As a Technical Analysis Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from evaluating reported product concerns to developing strategies for responding to claims and lawsuits. You'll also have the chance to collaborate with associates from other departments or affiliates to evaluate product performance and develop engineering evaluations and opinions.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably with an electrical or computer emphasis)
  • ~7+ years of professional-level experience in automotive product development and/or evaluation environment
  • ~ Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • ~ Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% to 40% of the time
