We are a multi-doctor, full-service veterinary hospital seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Veterinary Technician. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Communication: Develop strong relationships with clients, providing clear and concise information about their pets' health and treatment options.
- Animal Restraint: Safely and humanely restrain animals for examination, treatment, and procedures.
- Performing Treatments: Administer medications, vaccinations, and other treatments as prescribed by our veterinarians.
- Placing IV Catheters: Insert IV catheters for fluid administration, medication, and blood sampling.
- Monitoring Anesthesia: Closely monitor patients under anesthesia, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Performing Dental Prophy: Provide routine dental care, including scaling, polishing, and examination.
- Obtaining Radiographs: Take and develop radiographs (x-rays) as needed for diagnosis and treatment.
- Lifting up to 30 Lbs: Safely lift and move patients, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Making Surgical Packs: Prepare and maintain surgical packs, ensuring they are sterile and ready for use.
- Maintaining Equipment: Clean and maintain equipment, including autoclaves, scales, and other medical devices.
