Job Title: Hospital Services Department Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospital Services Department Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Hospital Services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing performance, driving departmental initiatives, and ensuring goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Selection: Work with HR and department Director to recruit, interview, and select applicants for the department.
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop, revise, and maintain policies and procedures for the Hospital Services department.
  • Work Assignments and Schedules: Plan, design, and direct work assignments and schedules for assigned staff.
  • Employee Management: Support Director of Hospital Services/Senior Regional Director(s) with employee management and oversight.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in developing and executing LOPA's strategic plans and department goals.
  • Donation Outcomes: Develop strategies and action plans to improve donation outcomes at our donor hospitals.
  • Communication: Quickly and effectively communicate and troubleshoot through complaints and challenges within the assigned regions.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with the education department to plan, coordinate, and direct training and staff development programs.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year supervisory experience and 2-3 years related experience as a Donation Services Coordinator.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft office and Google applications, ability to function autonomously, and strong time management skills.

Work Environment: The Hospital Services Department Manager will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and may be exposed to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents. The position requires travel and may involve working in a hospital setting.
