ROLE AND IMPACT

Moss is seeking Solar Electrical Field Project Engineers to enhance its team. In this role, you will assist the Electrical Assistant and Electrical Project Manager in supervising large-scale solar initiatives. Your duties will encompass managing contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and scheduling. A positive demeanor and strong communication skills are crucial as you will engage with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Key areas of focus include Crew Management, Reporting, Tool Connex, and Material Acquisition.
  • Initiate project setup by reviewing contracts, developing checklists, coordinating mobilization, selecting subcontractors and vendors, identifying critical milestones, and finalizing setup.
  • Oversee material management by creating schedules, confirming deliveries, reviewing drawings, monitoring off-site storage, and coordinating with various teams.
  • Facilitate construction activities, conduct quality control inspections, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and participate in project meetings.
  • Support project administration tasks, manage subcontractor agreements, maintain project files, track costs, process payments, and more.
  • Assist in the change order process by analyzing scope changes, expediting pricing, preparing cost proposals, and negotiating.
  • Perform additional assigned duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is required.
  • At least six months to one year of internship or full-time experience in solar projects or construction as a project engineer is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with construction project management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of finance is advantageous.
