About the Position:
We are currently seeking a Senior Control Management Officer to oversee Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives within our Evidence Based Control Evaluations (EBCE) framework. This team plays a crucial role in assessing the design and operational effectiveness of controls aimed at mitigating operational risks. The EBCE process is integral to our proactive risk management strategy, aligning with Wells Fargo's comprehensive Risk Management Framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough validations of controls post-EBCE execution, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Serve as a key liaison with the broader QA team to enhance efficiencies and promote learning opportunities.
- Perform QA assessments with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Document QA findings in accordance with team standards, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Foster strong partnerships with Controls Evaluation teams, providing constructive feedback and emphasizing continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development of a robust risk culture that proactively identifies and escalates compliance and operational risk issues.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and analyses of QA activities.
- Lead initiatives aimed at mitigating emerging risks with significant organizational impact.
- Actively participate in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of EBCE processes.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Risk Management or Control Management, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in control evaluation/testing or auditing, with a focus on risk assessment and gap identification.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to quality assurance and risk management processes.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Proven negotiation skills, particularly in challenging discussions with senior management.
- Ability to manage change effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on driving improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to ethical integrity and exemplifying core values in all interactions.
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule with in-office requirements.
- Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available for this role.
