Exciting Opportunities in Nurse Residency

We are currently welcoming applications for our Nurse Residency Program

This program is tailored for newly graduated RNs and nurses with limited experience, providing an exceptional foundation for your nursing career. The comprehensive curriculum encompasses a blend of educational classes, practical lab experiences, and a guided unit-based orientation, alongside training in our advanced Simulation Center, which employs human patient simulators to enhance your assessment, critical thinking, and clinical abilities.

This is a paid, all-encompassing program specifically crafted to address the distinct needs of today's novice nurses. The orientation is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge necessary for nursing in an academic, acute care setting.

Upon successful completion of the NCLEX, recent RN graduates can embark on their nursing journey at Dartmouth Health through our Nurse Residency Program.


• This program spans one year, featuring 10-18 weeks of intensive training tailored to the unique requirements of new nurses.


• The orientation emphasizes the skills and knowledge essential for nursing in a high-tech, academic, acute care environment.


• Utilizing our state-of-the-art Simulation Center, nurses will have the opportunity to refine their assessment, critical thinking, communication, and technical skills in a secure learning atmosphere.


• Continuous professional development, collaboration, and support among peers and leaders.

Multiple cohorts available throughout the year


The Nurse Residency Program focuses on adult learning principles and fosters clinical and leadership competencies during the transition from student nurse to professional nurse in acute care.

Responsibilities
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program is required.
  • For newly licensed nurses, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate's Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) is required.

Required Licensure/Certifications

Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
- Licensed Registered Nurse in New Hampshire is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required.
