Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Shift Lead to join our team at Murphy USA. As a Store Shift Lead, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service, responding to and resolving customer requests and concerns.
  • Store Operations: Assist the Store Manager in maintaining a clean and safe environment, ensuring fuel and merchandise are available for customers, and operating the cash register.
  • Team Leadership: Support the Store Manager in leading the team to exceed store performance goals and objectives, and perform job-related duties as assigned.
  • Administrative Tasks: In the absence of management, provide backup duties including completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, and performing other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be 18+ years of age, 19 in Alabama and 21 in Illinois.
  • High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related on-the-job experience.
  • Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience.
  • Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have dependable transportation.
