Position Overview:

This role is situated within a juvenile detention facility and is responsible for overseeing all administrative functions related to fiscal management and human resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and facilitate the recruitment and selection processes to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Verify the accuracy of data entered into the computer systems, ensuring all necessary documentation is included, such as Talent Management Requisitions and onboarding forms.
  • Review and process human resource issues to ensure compliance with departmental regulations and relevant laws, including grievances and equal employment opportunity guidelines.
  • Provide administrative support to facility management, assisting with documentation and processing requests related to attendance, leave, and disciplinary actions.
  • Offer technical assistance and guidance to facility personnel regarding human resource matters, ensuring all policies are up to date and adhered to.
  • Oversee payroll functions and attendance tracking, ensuring accurate and timely processing of timesheets.
  • Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and prepare correspondence related to human resource activities.
  • Conduct fingerprinting for employees and maintain necessary equipment.
  • Maintain comprehensive employee files and organizational charts for the facility.
  • Disseminate personnel information and provide orientation for new hires.
  • Act as the fiscal liaison for all financial matters within the facility.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of juvenile justice laws and policies.
  • Familiarity with administrative procedures and management principles.
  • Ability to analyze data and assess the effectiveness of service programs.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in administrative and human resource roles.
