Position Overview
Schneider Electric is seeking a dedicated Internal Controller to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence and shape internal control processes within a leading organization recognized for its commitment to diversity and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Internal Control Advocate, working collaboratively with business process leaders to enhance control measures and minimize risks.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including Global Internal Control and Global Process Owners, to evaluate risks and develop effective controls within North America’s primary operations, covering Accounting, Finance, Operations, HR, Compliance, and IT & ERP.
  • Oversee the annual Internal Control Self-Assessment process across the North America region.
  • Analyze the outcomes of the Control Self-Assessment and Internal Audit results to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Provide guidance and support to North American businesses regarding open action plans, including training and resource materials to ensure compliance.
  • Report on the progress of action plan completion to management at all levels.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive Internal Control training programs across North America.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in internal or external auditing, with knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and related controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • A proactive learner with a straightforward and enthusiastic approach.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in internal or external auditing, with expertise in SOX compliance.
  • Certifications such as CIA or CPA.
  • Experience in change management and process improvement initiatives.
