Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to provide direct support to our clinical team. As a Physical Therapy Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient care by providing direct support during therapy sessions, following the guidance of the physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment to ensure they are clean, organized, and ready for patient use.
- Patient education: assist in explaining exercises, proper form, and treatment goals as directed by the clinical team.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in treatment areas, exercise equipment, and therapy rooms.
- Laundry and supplies: assist with laundry duties and monitor and restock supplies as needed.
- Patient records: maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including tracking and documenting patient progress and adherence to exercise programs.
- Equipment maintenance: ensure that therapy equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to the appropriate staff.
- Effective communication with patients, physical therapists, and other team members to facilitate a smooth patient experience.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is beneficial.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as required.
- Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The estimated salary range for this position is $40,000-$50,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
