Job Title: Server

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Server to join our team at Club Macanudo, the world's most recognized luxury cigar bar and restaurant. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acknowledge and welcome all guests, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs, maintaining a fair rotation to ensure servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.
  • Move and arrange tables, chairs, and place settings as required, organizing seating for groups with special needs.
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
  • Answer telephone clearly, using appropriate etiquette, and coordinate and record guest reservations, responding to inquiries.
  • Deliver patrons' cigar orders to table.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns and requests of guests and coworkers.
Requirements:
  • Prior client-facing hospitality experience in an upscale restaurant is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of restaurant operations.
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage stress while maintaining a welcoming and friendly yet professionally appropriate demeanor.
  • Positive 'can do' attitude, team player orientation, and commitment to superb customer service.
  • Neat, well-groomed appearance and outgoing personality.
  • Ability to stand and walk for duration of the shift.
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
Work Environment:

In this role, you will be working near patrons and co-workers in a fast-paced environment. The noise level may be loud at times, and you may be exposed to hazards such as cuts, burns, slipping, tripping, lifting/carrying, and exposure to tobacco smoke.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Walking/standing during entire shift.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs.
  • Manipulating fingers, hands, and arms to serve, carry, pour, and wipe.
  • Hearing and talking.
  • Properly operating Club computer and printer.
  • Good close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus between the two.
Desired Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience as a host/hostess in an upscale restaurant is preferred.

Hourly Rate of Pay:

$16/HR
