We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Redlands Community Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians and nurses in preparing for surgery and during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to strict protocols.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and easily accessible.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow, minimizing delays and complications.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information, surgical procedures, and inventory management.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Completion of a formal Surgical Technologist training program or equivalent experience.
- One year of recent experience as a unit secretary or in a related role is preferred.
- Completion of a Terminology Course or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Prior computer experience is highly desirable.
- Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) or equivalent certification.
- GI Certification (SGNA) or equivalent certification for GI Lab positions.
