Position Overview:
As a key member of the Colorado River Aqueduct Program Management Team, you will oversee a variety of capital and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) initiatives. Your expertise in project management will be crucial in ensuring that all engineering services align with the Metropolitan Water District's standards for quality, efficiency, and technical integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects effectively, leading teams to handle daily operations and activities.
- Assist in the development and submission of project proposals, and guide planning and scoping studies for capital infrastructure projects.
- Secure project funding and authorization through the appropriate channels, while closely monitoring project scope, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with Water System Operations and Water Resources Management.
- Coordinate environmental assessments and documentation, prepare comprehensive reports, and utilize standard software applications such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Provide consistent updates to the Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) system and engage in other project management initiatives as required.

Work Schedule:
9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, accompanied by six years of pertinent experience, including two years at the Associate Engineer level; or a Master's degree with four years of relevant experience, including two years at the Associate Engineer level.
- Proven experience in managing capital projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, and preparing technical documentation.

Licenses and Certifications:
- A valid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent is required.
- A current license as a California Professional Engineer in good standing is necessary.
