This role is pivotal in planning, coordinating, and executing staff development and orientation programs for all personnel. The position upholds individual clinical and administrative excellence, develops and maintains clinical competencies, and observes clinical proficiency to create personalized performance improvement plans. Participation in Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance Programs is also a requirement. The Coordinator will receive general guidance from the Health Center Director, the Director of Patient Services, or the Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:


• Uphold individual clinical and administrative excellence
• Design and implement orientation programs for new hires
• Lead or assist in Nurse Aide training classes as directed by the NATP Primary Coordinator
• Assess the competence of new staff following their orientation
• Develop and deliver group educational programs
• Review clinical documentation and conduct both announced and unannounced supervisory visits or clinical observations to ensure compliance with practice standards and regulatory requirements
• Engage in quality assurance activities, including audits, reports, and participation in committees and work groups.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university, with at least one (1) year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse, including a minimum of six (6) months in staff development, education, or supervision; or
• Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program with an Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing and eighteen (18) months of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse, including at least six (6) months in staff development, education, or supervision.

• Current Train the Trainer Certification is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:
• One year of experience in long-term care.

Physical Requirements:
• Collaborate with your HRBP or TA Partner to complete a physical demands analysis, ensuring compliance with ADA standards, including: Purpose and Essential Functions, Physical/Sensory/Cognitive Needs, Critical Weights and Measures, Environmental Exposures, Physical Expectations of the Role, and Time Allocation/Frequency of Tasks.

Travel Requirements:
• Onsite.

Compensation:
• Salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 annually.
