RN Staff Development Coordinator

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled RN Staff Development Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing staff development and orientation programs for all employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience in staff development, education, or supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain individual clinical and administrative excellence
- Plan and implement orientation programs for new personnel
- Lead and assist in Nurse Aide training classes
- Evaluate competence of new staff
- Develop and present group education programs
- Conduct supervisory home visits and clinical observations
- Participate in quality assurance activities
Requirements:
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- One year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse, with at least six months in staff development, education, or supervision
- Current Train the Trainer Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of long-term care experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Location and Travel Requirements:
- Onsite
Pay Range Disclosure:
- $80,000 to $90,000 per year
