Role Responsibilities:

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for delivering both on-site and remote technical assistance to ensure team members remain productive and that information is safeguarded. This role involves identifying and addressing root cause issues, as well as resolving daily hardware and software support challenges. The specialist will also act as a liaison between various offices concerning IT matters.

  • Develop and maintain IT documentation
  • Assist staff with the setup, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral devices, and software in accordance with established standards
  • Provide on-site and remote support for users across all locations
  • Install software, patches, and updates on desktops, laptops, and servers
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and replace components on desktop and laptop PCs
  • Install and configure new hardware and software
  • Conduct desktop maintenance and resolve issues; assist with printer, fax, and copier maintenance
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Office products and other desktop applications
  • Collaborate with vendor support to resolve technical issues with desktop computing equipment and software
  • Manage user account information, including adding, removing, and updating details
  • Respond to technical inquiries
  • Troubleshoot reported issues
  • Recommend and/or implement system upgrades to ensure longevity
  • Assess functional requirements to determine specifications for purchases and collaborate with procurement for hardware and software acquisition
  • Serve as a liaison to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems
  • Present technical information in an accessible manner for non-technical audiences
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance processes, create efficiencies, and reduce costs
  • Take on additional duties or responsibilities as assigned
  • Adhere to established work rules, policies, and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; a 2-year degree is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Proficient computer skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Skills:
