Job Summary: Targa Resources is seeking a highly skilled Sr Gas Marketing Representative to join our team in Downtown Houston. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the natural gas midstream industry and natural gas trading. Key responsibilities include managing term and daily natural gas trading activities, facilitating gas transportation procurement, and developing trading optimization strategies across Targa assets. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing supply to downstream customer portfolios, building and maintaining relationships with counterparties and industry contacts, and supporting long-term origination efforts for new growth strategies. Additional duties may include assisting and supporting other Targa trading areas. Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field, or commensurate trading experience
  • Strong understanding of the natural gas midstream industry and natural gas trading
  • Minimum of 3 years of natural gas marketing experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of natural gas-related experience
  • Understanding of financial trading and hedging strategies
  • Sound communication and documentation skills, including the ability to interact effectively with various levels of staff and management
  • Motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented, with a results-driven approach to work
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to recognize and research irregularities and inconsistencies
  • Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Effective in a dynamic environment, adapting to and managing change in a positive and proactive manner
  • Capable of establishing effective working relationships that promote teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to remain positive, professional, determined, calm, and focused when faced with challenging situations
  • Regular and reliable attendance
