Position Overview

In the role of Lead Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT). This position is pivotal in managing and addressing security incidents associated with our products and services. The primary objective is to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and respond to vulnerabilities or threats that could affect the security of the organization’s offerings. Your contributions will be vital in establishing a robust PSIRT, which aims to enhance product quality and minimize the frequency of security patch updates. These improvements not only help in reducing costs but also strengthen the brand's reputation regarding product security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical lead for investigations related to vulnerabilities and incidents across various platforms (Vehicle, Application, and Back End).
  • Provide expert technical guidance and assist in formulating investigation strategies.
  • Support the PSIRT team in the investigation and monitoring of identified vulnerabilities using the VVM Jira tool to bolster security posture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and recommend suitable remediation and mitigation strategies to alleviate security risks.
  • Oversee the tracking of remediation and mitigation efforts in the VVM Jira Tool, working closely with Product Leads and Scrum Teams to ensure effective risk reduction.
  • Offer ad-hoc support as a technical expert in Product Cybersecurity Group services and programs as necessary.
  • Be prepared for occasional travel, which may involve up to 15% of your time, including a minimum of 2 days per month and 1 week per quarter.
