Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time IT Support Specialist to provide technical support for laptops, PCs, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals to restore service and deliver solutions to meet user requirements for all employees of the City of Lubbock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and test computers and equipment, peripherals, and software.
  • Install and configure printers.
  • Install, repair, and troubleshoot PC's, Printers, Electronic Technology peripherals as dictated by everyday business needs.
  • Resolve help desk issues for users.
Requirements
  • College level course work in management information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • Related experience may substitute for education requirement on a year-to-year basis.
  • No specific experience required.
Working Conditions

This position has been determined to have close contact with, or control of Critical Infrastructure components.

This position is subject to extensive background checks and random drug screening.

No Class B Misdemeanor convictions within last 10 years.

No Class A Misdemeanor, Felony Convictions or Family Violence Conviction.

Physical Requirements
