Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
As a Fire Sprinkler Inspection and Testing Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to conduct inspections and tests on fire sprinkler systems, hood suppression systems, and backflow prevention devices to ensure compliance with essential life-safety and fire-safety regulations as dictated by standards, codes, and local ordinances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of various fire sprinkler systems and hood suppression systems.
- Test backflow prevention devices in accordance with applicable codes and regulations, noting that additional certifications may be required based on jurisdiction.
- Collaborate with teams on all forms of life safety system evaluations.
- Document all findings in compliance with NFPA and local standards.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, relaying information to the appropriate personnel for follow-up and addressing any concerns.
- Discuss identified deficiencies with clients, providing clear explanations and solutions.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in fire sprinkler systems.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- NICET II certification in Water-based systems.
- Oregon Backflow Assembly Tester Certification is preferred.
- Certificate of Fitness (COF) for Fire Sprinkler/Underground/Fire Extinguisher/Fire Suppression.
- Proficient in basic computer functions including Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android.
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Frequently lift and transport toolboxes, equipment, and materials.
- Capable of pushing or pulling weights up to 50 pounds.
