Job Summary

The Head of Governance and Control, AML, Consumer is a leadership role focused on creating an end-to-end Governance & Control function for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) to support the Consumer business with AML standards, requirements, and controls on a centralized basis. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight and challenge of established controls on the execution of policies and procedures and processes that the teams within the Consumer business will need to implement
  • Support for remediating issues and findings from control activities and providing guidance on monitoring and reporting
  • Leadership of the AML function and building a strategic roadmap for AML Governance and Control
  • Business input to AML Risk and risk appetite statement measurement
  • Escalation and reporting of AML Risk matters to governance committees
  • Response to regulatory and internal audit findings

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement AML Governance and Control frameworks and policies
  • Lead the AML function and provide strategic direction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective AML controls
  • Provide guidance on AML risk management and monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Requirements

  • 4 Year Degree or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of related experience in financial crimes with a focus on AML and KYC
  • Management and employee development experience
  • PC Skills/Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee/manage multiple initiatives and tasks
  • High level analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel
