Job Description:
  • Assist faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, and other miscellaneous projects.
  • Tutor or mentor students to ensure their success in the program.
  • Obtain materials needed for classes, including texts and other resources.
  • Prepare presentations for lectures to engage students and facilitate learning.
  • Deliver lectures and provide guidance to students on course material.
  • Hand out assignments and grade papers accurately and efficiently.
  • Proctor examinations to maintain academic integrity.
  • Record grades and inform students of their final grades in a timely manner.
  • Arrange for teaching observations to ensure effective instruction.
  • Meet with students during office hours to address any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Help professors and instructors develop course plans to align with program goals.
  • Assist with student conferences to provide support and guidance.
  • Lead discussion sections to encourage critical thinking and engagement.
  • Create and write materials such as a syllabus, visual aids, answer keys, supplementary notes, and course websites to enhance the learning experience.
  • Correspond with students on Blackboard, CANVAS, or related inter-campus communication systems to keep them informed.
  • Provide librarians with assistance cataloging or displaying collections to support research efforts.
  • Take attendance and record responses to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Record lecture given by the professor to provide additional resources for students.
