Job Overview

This role involves assisting the curatorial team at the International Center of Photography to develop and implement exhibition phases. The intern will gain valuable research skills, an overview of exhibition making, and museum experience.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Research for upcoming projects, acquisitions, and exhibitions.
  • Develop exhibitions materials like checklists and press lists.
  • Assist in researching and filling institutional materials like exhibition and publication histories.
  • Help develop resources like artist bios missing from our database.
  • Assist in creating a rights database for copyright holders in the collection.
  • Research current exhibitions on photography to assist the curatorial team.

The salary range for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure is estimated based on industry standards and the location of the International Center of Photography.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have strong research skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities. You should also be able to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
