Facilities Maintenance Manager - Operations Expert

Home Chef is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Manager - Operations Expert to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Maintenance Operations: Oversee the maintenance team to ensure that all facilities and equipment are properly maintained and operated.
  • CMMS Management: Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure that work orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Emergency and Planned Work Orders: Prioritize emergency and planned work orders to minimize downtime and ensure that operations run smoothly.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance tasks to ensure that equipment is reliable and efficient.
  • Spare Parts Inventory: Manage the spare parts inventory to ensure that all necessary parts are available when needed.
  • Trend Analysis: Conduct trend analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize maintenance operations.
  • Capital Improvement Projects: Serve as the site point of contact for capital improvement projects and ensure that they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all team members and contractors comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Training and Development: Train and develop maintenance team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Day-to-Day Maintenance Activities: Plan and execute day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure that all facilities and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Emergency Work: Prioritize and complete emergency work to minimize downtime and ensure that operations run smoothly.
  • Equipment Release: Ensure that all equipment is released to sanitation before returning to operations.
  • Safety Standards: Enforce safety standards and safe work practices for all Home Chef employees and contractors.
  • Maintenance SOPs: Develop and maintain up-to-date maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Documentation: Ensure that all maintenance tasks are documented in compliance with food safety best practices.
  • Communication: Communicate with other plant leaders on required maintenance work that could impact operations or put team members at risk.
  • Expectations: Communicate expectations to the maintenance team and lead by example.
  • Coaching: Coach maintenance team members on a daily basis to ensure that they are performing their jobs effectively.
  • Work Order Completion: Manage work order completion on a daily basis to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Equipment Uptime and Reliability: Manage equipment uptime and reliability to minimize production impact.
Qualifications
  • Education: General High School Degree or Equivalent Required; Associate's degree, bachelor's degree or technical degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of facilities maintenance experience; minimum 5 years of demonstrated successful people management and supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Must have experience with ammonia cooling systems; must have a high level of electrical knowledge; excellent written, verbal communication and negotiation skills; experience managing budgets; proficient in Google Workspace, specifically Google Sheets (Excel); ability to be on-call and respond to facility needs after hours and/or during weekends; experience being a safety leader for a team (specifically require LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, Elevated work, and Line Break training).
