Position Overview
As one of the nation's oldest medical schools, the UC College of Medicine is renowned for cultivating exceptional healthcare professionals and pioneering innovative procedures and research that enhance patient health and clinical care.

The Division of Urology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is currently seeking a Faculty Physician in Urology to fill a vacancy left by a recently retired urologist. We welcome applications from candidates specializing in general urology as well as those with fellowship training. Both early-career and mid-career urologists are encouraged to apply.

The Urology Division is actively involved in outpatient care at UC Health, which includes the flagship University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC) and the nearby West Chester Hospital. UC Health serves a diverse patient population and is the only academic health system in the southwestern Ohio region, catering to individuals from northern Kentucky, eastern Indiana, and southern Ohio. UCMC provides Quaternary Care and is the sole Level 1 Trauma Center in the area.

Our Urology Program has consistently been recognized among the Top 50 Urologic Programs in the United States by US News & World Report. Available resources include robot-assisted da Vinci surgical systems at both UCMC and WCH, as well as MRI prostate imaging for biopsy and treatment selection. We are proud to be one of the first programs in the nation to implement MRI-targeted ultrasound-guided prostate biopsies using the Artemis system for synchronization of prostate MRI with trans-rectal ultrasound during biopsy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in resident education, attend conferences, manage ambulatory clinics, and participate in surgical procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible for full, unrestricted licensure in the state of Ohio.
  • Possess a Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited medical or osteopathic institution.
  • Completion of a residency program in Urology.
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice and communication skills.
