About the Opportunity
The Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time adjunct faculty position in the Department of Finance. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in finance, including courses in financial management, investments, corporate finance, and financial markets.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to promote student learning and success.
- Provide academic advising and support to students, including guidance on course selection, career development, and academic progress.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments in finance, and incorporate relevant examples and case studies into course materials.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assess student learning outcomes, and improve teaching practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree with a professional certification in a related field (e.g. CFA or CFP).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to students.
- Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
