Role Overview
This position offers a chance to engage with a strategically vital and dynamic analytics team. The Pricing Analyst will collaborate across departments, providing data-driven insights that enhance sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze extensive datasets, synthesizing and communicating actionable insights to business leaders that positively influence sales and profits. Key areas include promotional optimization, price investments, and competitive pricing analysis.
- Develop and present KPI reports that clearly convey findings to executive leadership.
- Collaborate on large-scale data-related pricing projects, enhancing reporting and data processes in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with various teams to create reports that measure and support merchandising objectives.
- Continuously assess competitors and market dynamics to inform pricing strategy recommendations.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of category financial drivers, including sales, markdowns, and profitability.
- Gain insights into customer shopping behaviors and key business drivers to inform pricing strategies.
- Partner with leadership to understand business initiatives and their pricing implications, anticipating market changes.
- Evaluate trends and customer purchasing patterns to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with complex analyses and projects for the Strategic Pricing team, ensuring results are accessible and relevant.
- Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders, advising on how to achieve business goals through data and insights.
- Design reports and executive summaries that effectively communicate analytical findings to key stakeholders.
- Implement recommendations for ongoing process and system enhancements, including automation of analyses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; fields such as Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or Statistics preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with SQL is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools.
- Ability to synthesize and summarize large volumes of information clearly.
- Strong initiative and planning skills; capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in pricing-related roles is preferred.
