Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Personal Banker to join our team at Morris Bank. As a Personal Banker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing loan closings, and assisting lenders in daily functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and verify customer information to facilitate loan closings
  • Take loan applications and enter customer data into our system
  • Key loans into our system and submit them for approval
  • Gather all necessary documents prior to closing to minimize exceptions
  • Print loan checks and fill out general ledger tickets
  • Close loans and send them to be booked
  • Organize loan packages and send original documents to the appropriate party for filing
  • Assist lenders in working upcoming maturities and past due reports
  • Prioritize exceptions and monitor them monthly
  • Provide superior customer service and support to our customers

Requirements

  • Minimum two-year college degree
  • One to two years of similar or related experience preferred
  • General knowledge of bank operations, policies, and procedures
  • Must be thorough, precise, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to interact and communicate professionally with customers and fellow employees
  • Must take full responsibility for job duties and work with limited supervision
  • Ability to speak tactfully via telephone and minimize grammatical error in written communication
  • Proficient in basic computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)

Physical Requirements

Must be capable of operating all types of office equipment

Computer, telephone, fax machine, scanner, copier, printer

Working Conditions

  • Requires incumbent to remain sedentary within office
  • Requires some travel for training/seminars
