Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Department Coordinator to join our team at Marshalls. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience, overseeing a team of Associates, and ensuring the smooth operation of our front-end services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a positive internal and external customer experience by providing exceptional service and promoting loyalty programs.
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity, maintaining confidentiality and upholding our company values.
  • Take an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front-end principles, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Train and coach Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for our customers.
  • Assign registers, support and respond to POS coverage needs, and coordinate breaks for all Associates, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Address customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure Associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan, prioritizing as needed and communicating effectively with management and Associates.
  • Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, providing progress updates and ensuring a clear understanding of expectations.
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, promoting a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness and ensure our team has the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs, supporting our company's goals and objectives.
  • Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, ensuring a secure and efficient operation.
  • Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment, ensuring the well-being of our Associates and customers.
Requirements
  • Available to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques and ability to apply them effectively.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Able to train others and provide guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience, with a strong track record of delivering results and achieving goals.

This position has a starting pay range of $16.00 to $16.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
