Job Summary

Oversee the administration and operations of health profession education programs, including teaching and learning activities, program curriculum, learner scheduling, and program accreditation. Develop and implement strategies to improve program quality, processes, and compliance.

The Health Professions Education Supervisor 2 will have primary oversight of the training programs, faculty, and students within the UCSF School of Nursing. This individual will be responsible for coordinating program planning, development, administration, and implementation. The supervisor will also coordinate the activities of the Academic Programs staff, including student interactions, faculty support, and programmatic changes.

This position requires sophisticated analysis, a keen eye for detail, and strong communication and administrative skills to manage complex activities and inter-professional scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve program quality, processes, and compliance
  • Oversee the administration and operations of health profession education programs
  • Coordinate program planning, development, administration, and implementation
  • Manage the activities of the Academic Programs staff
  • Develop and implement programmatic changes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management/lead experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of the health professions education industry, administrative analysis, and operations research
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in training and guiding employees on educational techniques
  • Effective communication skills with peers, learners, faculty, and other education program coordinators/managers
