The YMCA of San Francisco is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Academic Intervention Linked Day Program Leader. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in cultivating a positive and mutually beneficial school day and after-school program partnership.

About the Role

The Linked Day Program Leader is responsible for providing academic support to students in need, focusing on literacy interventions during the school day and enrichment activities during after-school hours. You will work closely with instructional leaders to achieve program goals and ensure the success of our students.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement academic support programs for students in need
  • Collaborate with instructional leaders to achieve program goals
  • Provide literacy interventions during the school day
  • Lead enrichment activities during after-school hours
  • Monitor student progress and adjust programs as needed

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher, or High School diploma/equivalent, and any of the following: passed the District Instructional Aide Exam, CA Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST), or completed 48 college units verified by transcript
  • Experience working with elementary or middle school students
  • Knowledge or expertise in youth development
  • YMCA approved CPR and First Aid Certification (training available upon hire)
  • Fingerprint background check clearance
  • TB Test clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with teaching credential
  • Experience with EPs, SSTs, 504s and all other interventions and accommodation plans
  • Knowledge of San Francisco Unified School district reading and writing assessments and curriculum
  • Interest in pursuing a career in primary and/or secondary education
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or other languages
  • Connections in the local San Francisco community
