Hospice Leadership Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN to join our hospice team as a Patient Care Manager / Assistant Director of Nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of patient care staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and participating in talent acquisition efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Staff Development: Developing and evaluating patient care staff, including supervision, orientation, and mentoring.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with agency policies, state and federal laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Talent Acquisition: Participating in talent acquisition efforts to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • IDT Meetings: Coordinating and facilitating Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings.
  • Quality Assurance: Assisting with quality assurance and performance improvement efforts.

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of three years of hospice experience, a proven ability to manage a fast-paced independent work schedule, and a strong leadership presence. A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred, and valid Texas licensure is required.
