The Clerkship and Residency Program Administrator plays a crucial role in overseeing the specialty residency program at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. This position entails the development, oversight, and distribution of trainee schedules, management of rotation timelines, and assurance of budgetary adherence. The Administrator is also tasked with ensuring that all ACGME residency program standards and institutional regulations are met.
Furthermore, this role involves the administration of residents' profiles and timekeeping records, coordination of medical students' schedules, and collaboration with the Graduate Medical Education Program Manager and Clerkship Director.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, oversee, and distribute trainee schedules
- Manage rotation timelines throughout the academic year
- Ensure completion and adherence to residency program standards
- Maintain residents' employee profiles and authorize electronic timekeeping
- Coordinate, orient, onboard, and manage medical students and their schedules
- Design, implement, assess, and manage academic, evaluative, and administrative activities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in project management and maintaining professional relationships
- At least 3 years of experience in program management or a related discipline
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Experience with accreditation processes, including interaction with regulatory bodies
- Pursues certification through TAGME and maintains renewal every five years
