The Role

As a Mixologist at Living Room LA, you will be tasked with crafting both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, serving culinary delights, and delivering exceptional service that creates unforgettable experiences for all patrons. Your role is pivotal as you embody the essence of our brand, collaborating closely with the leadership team and contributing to our food and beverage initiatives. Therefore, maintaining a professional demeanor and exuding a vibrant and positive energy is essential to foster an engaging atmosphere that encourages conversation and boosts sales.


A successful Mixologist will warmly welcome members and guests, familiarize themselves with their preferences, provide insightful recommendations, and skillfully prepare and serve drinks. You will also be responsible for upselling menu items, developing unique recipes, utilizing appropriate equipment and ingredients, and performing basic cleaning tasks. To thrive in this position, you should present a polished appearance and possess a friendly, engaging personality. Efficiency, attentiveness, knowledge, and a passion for craft cocktails are vital attributes.

  • Adhere to established service protocols and club standards for preparing cocktails and other beverages.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace while collaborating with fellow Mixologists to clean glassware and utensils after each use, ensuring a pristine environment.
  • Inform guests and members about beverage selections based on training received.
  • Articulate and promote daily specials, seasonal menu items, and food pairing suggestions to enhance the dining experience and drive additional sales.
  • Process payments for all sold items and operate the cash register efficiently.
  • Verify customer identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol and tobacco purchases, and assess when a patron may have overindulged.
  • Arrange bottles and glassware to create visually appealing displays that highlight specific beverage offerings and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Serve customers with a friendly and accommodating attitude.
  • Monitor inventory levels and delegate restocking tasks to Barbacks as needed.
  • Mix ingredients according to established recipes to ensure a cohesive beverage program and consistent guest experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a high-volume food and beverage environment.
  • Experience with craft cocktails and working with seasonal, perishable ingredients.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and fulfill drink orders promptly while maintaining quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible availability and reliability.
  • Certification in responsible beverage service.
