The Mixologist is responsible for crafting and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons, adhering to established recipes and company policies regarding beverage service. This role emphasizes creating a welcoming environment for guests and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify the age of guests ordering alcoholic drinks, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Foster a friendly and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a neighborhood bar.
- Efficiently prepare, garnish, and serve beverages to guests.
- Provide personalized service to returning guests by remembering their names and preferred drinks.
- Coordinate food orders from guests seated at the bar with the kitchen staff.
- Become familiar with the menu to offer informed recommendations.
- Encourage guests to try additional food or drink options when suitable.
- Maintain a tidy and organized bar area at all times.
- Accurately process all transactions using the point-of-sale system.
- Adhere to all relevant service standards and brand guidelines.
- Consistently present a neat and professional appearance in the designated uniform.
- Capable of operating the point-of-sale system, handling cash, and processing credit card transactions.
- Able to manage challenging situations with guests calmly and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Must successfully complete bar validation assessments.
- Respond clearly and effectively to guest inquiries.
- Possess good hearing abilities to communicate effectively in a lively environment.
- Physically capable of lifting and transporting cases weighing up to 30 lbs. over short distances, including stairs.
- Must pass a comprehensive federal background check.
