Position Summary
The Mixologist is tasked with welcoming patrons, crafting and serving a diverse array of beverages, promoting menu items, and ensuring accurate cash handling and credit practices, all while delivering exceptional service that exceeds guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertly prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails and drinks, following established recipes and utilizing a variety of ingredients.
- Comply with all cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of state liquor laws, particularly those related to serving minors, intoxicated individuals, and preventing drunk driving.
- Thoroughly set up all bar areas; perform all pre-opening, opening, and closing tasks during shifts (e.g., ensuring cleanliness of floor drains).
- Verify guest identification to confirm legal drinking age (21).
- Willingness to cross-train in other food and beverage areas.
Required Competencies:
- Exhibit a high level of professional integrity and ethical behavior.
- Maintain composure and calmness in high-pressure situations.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment with frequent changes and unexpected events.
- Identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Effectively multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Show consistent attendance and reliability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; or 3-4 years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment is preferred.
- Background in hotel or resort settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Micros systems is a plus.
- Food Handler's card is mandatory.
- TIPS Certification is required.
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is necessary.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Flexible availability for all shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
