Ace Hardware Home Services is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team of professionals providing top-notch residential maintenance and repair services. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical System Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including wiring, circuits, and electrical panels.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs, ensuring that all work is done safely and efficiently.
- Code Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations, including the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to complete projects and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Frame Carpentry and Automation: Perform frame carpentry work as needed for electrical installations and install and program logic controllers for automation systems.
- Low Voltage Systems: Handle low voltage systems, such as security and fire alarm systems.
- Licensure and Certification: Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician.
- Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting electrical plans, strong knowledge of electrical systems and components, familiarity with logic controllers and their programming, and ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring, prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding, physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits, and able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
