Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Clerk to join our team at Dover Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Fiat. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing new and used vehicle registrations, preparing tax and title documents, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Titling
    • Process new and used vehicle registrations in a timely and accurate manner
    • Prepare and submit tax and title documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles
    • Verify accuracy and completeness of registration applications
  • Document Preparation
    • Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins
    • Bill out dealer trades and prepare Certificates of Origin
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Maintain a system to verify out-of-state titles
    • Compile and maintain a complete list of outstanding title work
    • Report to management on the status of any missing or problem titles
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to dealers and customers
    • Respond to inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as automotive title clerking or registration
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
