Position Overview:

The role is accountable to the Director of Human Resources, focusing on management-employee relations, talent acquisition, talent development, military personnel, and performance culture initiatives to drive high performance and strategic outcomes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

This supervisory role entails:

  • Acting as a key advisor to senior leadership on workforce-related matters, particularly concerning employee discipline and performance issues.
  • Overseeing the management of various HR programs, including Reasonable Accommodation, Anti-Harassment, and Administrative Grievance processes.
  • Supervising HR personnel in areas such as Management-Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Performance Culture, Talent Development, and Military Personnel.
  • Supporting strategic planning efforts and implementing university-wide programs aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining HR programs in compliance with federal and DoD regulations, while integrating industry best practices.
  • Providing expert guidance to management on complex recruitment and placement challenges.
  • Creating talent management strategies that foster a culture of superior performance.
  • Assessing and adapting private industry human capital strategies to enhance organizational performance.
  • Utilizing metrics and data analysis to inform leadership decisions and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Managing organizational competency assessments to identify skill gaps and formulate talent acquisition or development plans.
  • Representing the organization in high-level conferences and establishing partnerships to promote best practices.
  • Participating in the prioritization of HR initiatives across the organization.
  • Conducting research, drafting policy documents, and ensuring compliance with EEO, OPM, and DOD DCPAS guidelines.
Supervisory Duties:

Executing a full range of first-level supervisory responsibilities in accordance with established standards.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess specialized experience directly related to the role, demonstrating knowledge, skills, and abilities in:

  • Advising senior leaders on complex organizational matters.
  • Experience in Human Resources or related legal fields.
  • Leading teams effectively.

This position is subject to various employment regulations and may require the incumbent to obtain and maintain a security clearance. The role may involve travel and the need to work outside of standard hours.
