Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, HR Business Partner to support our operations team. This role is critical for fostering a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and aligning HR strategies with business objectives. The Senior Manager will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing expertise in talent management, employee relations, workforce planning, performance improvement, and various strategic projects.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of operations, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial setting, and a proven ability to partner effectively across cross-functional teams. They will drive continuous improvement by shaping processes and culture to enhance organizational efficiency and capacity for change, while also maintaining high levels of employee engagement.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Support:

  • Partner with operations leadership to address business challenges through strategic HR solutions.
  • Align HR initiatives with operational goals, focusing on talent acquisition, retention, and development.
  • Develop and implement workforce plans to optimize staffing levels and labor costs.
  • Support annual goal-setting programs and ensure compliance with performance metrics.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve organizational performance and retention.
  • Lead talent alignment to business strategies by fostering strong relationships with leadership.
  • Support and lead change management initiatives, including organizational restructuring and process improvements.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, guiding conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Navigate complex situations with agility and resilience.
  • Partner with central HR to manage employee relations, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Talent Management & Development:

  • Oversee recruitment efforts, ensuring a diverse pipeline of candidates for operational roles.
  • Manage performance management processes, including coaching and career development.
  • Collaborate with training teams to implement employee development programs.
  • Drive talent, DEI, and culture initiatives during the talent acquisition process.


Skills & Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, and workforce planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
  • Strategic thinking with demonstrated leadership and influence skills.
  • Experience in change management and employee advocacy.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior HR role supporting operations.
