Job Title: Public Engagement Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Engagement Coordinator to join our team at Olsson. As a key member of our community outreach team, you will be responsible for engaging with community stakeholders, including state and local government officials, clients, and the public, to support decision-making processes for community planning and public infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement public engagement plans to support community planning and public infrastructure projects
  • Build and maintain relationships with diverse community members, clients, and key stakeholders
  • Provide support for planning and staffing engagement activities and events
  • Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams to provide technical assistance
  • Compile communication engagement summary reports
  • Identify opportunities to offer additional engagement services to new and existing clients
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, public administration, marketing, communication, education, business, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in projects involving public or community engagement
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of new and existing communication and outreach tools, strategies, and best practices
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
  • A desire to work independently and with a team
  • Willing to travel as needed
