Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in reverse engineering across diverse architectures and platforms (x86, x64, ARM, MIPS, etc.)
  • Proficient in modeling the behavior of compiled applications in memory
  • Experience in kernel module development and understanding
  • Competence in scripting languages (Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • Software development experience in C or C++
  • Familiarity with static and dynamic analysis tools
  • Experience with recursive descent disassemblers (e.g., IDA Pro or Binary Ninja)
  • Firmware development and debugging capabilities
  • Knowledge of one or more assembly languages (x86, x64, ARM, MIPS, etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of network protocols across all layers of the network stack
  • Self-driven and passionate about supporting the U.S. Cyber Security mission
  • Ability to comprehend both offensive and defensive aspects of reverse engineering; including the development of advanced security techniques
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in software protection and binary analysis
  • Familiarity with contemporary exploitation techniques, tools, and methodologies
  • Malware analysis expertise
  • Skills in hardware prototyping
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
Security Clearance:
  • A current U.S. government security clearance is mandatory. Qualified candidates may undergo a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. Consequently, U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. Additional security requirements may apply.
