This role will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work directly with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Responsibilities:- Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral information to complete patient records.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs, as well as assist with procedures and document patient information.
- Guide routine meetings with staff to communicate procedural changes and improve service quality.
- Manage inventory of supplies, restock exam/procedure rooms, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Answer calls, provide patient education, and assist with patient flow and scheduling.
- Under the direction of a physician, administer injectable medication and vaccines when appropriate.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent hospital program, or successful completion of certification examination (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA).
- At least 1 year of patient care experience required.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic, and treatment room responsibilities.
