The Full-Time Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the store management team with daily operational tasks, which include delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, merchandising, and fulfilling additional responsibilities as directed by management.
Key Responsibilities:
Establishes strong customer relationships by providing exemplary service, assisting customers in a professional, courteous, and responsive manner.
Demonstrates an understanding of fashion trends and effectively meets customer needs by recommending appropriate merchandise while upholding DTLR standards and fostering relationships.
Assists with inventory shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.Maintains a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the job and the company.
Adheres to and enforces all company policies.
Participates in service training and product knowledge programs.
Assists the Store Manager in monitoring and identifying issues related to loss prevention to ensure the store meets its shrinkage goals.
Oversees compliance with operational, safety, and business standards.Supports the training of staff in effective selling and merchandising techniques.
Actively works to minimize inventory shrinkage by safeguarding the store against theft and loss. Follows loss prevention protocols and security measures.
Ensures adherence to proper point of sale procedures. Balances cash transactions during shifts and collaborates with management to investigate discrepancies.
Keeps management updated on significant developments and potential issues necessary for effective oversight.
Helps maintain a clean and organized sales environment.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
A standard work week consists of a minimum of 35 hours up to a maximum of 40 hours.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.
The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
Education and Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
This position requires a strong command of the English language to effectively communicate with management, customers, and colleagues.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to work with minimal supervision. Must be prepared to take charge of the store when necessary.
Open availability and flexibility to accommodate customer demands and business needs.
Must possess basic knowledge of fashion and style trends and a desire to engage with customers in a retail environment.
Proven experience in teamwork, responsibility handling, and understanding the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
Willingness to work across multiple stores within the assigned district.Physical Requirements:
Individuals must be capable of standing for extended periods; lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
Able to work extended hours during critical project phases and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
The incumbent must be able to work effectively in a high-energy environment.General Information:
