Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Development Registered Nurse to join our team at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating our center's Staff Development Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and conduct training programs for employees to ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
- Assess resident needs and design appropriate training programs for staff.
- Conduct annual competency assessments for licensed nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DNS) to ensure clinical competency of nursing staff.
- Manage the Employee Health program and provide hands-on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed personnel.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BS degree preferred.
- Licensed as a RN required.
- Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
- Current with state Continuing Education (CE) Requirements.
- Three years of nursing experience, of which one year was in a long-term care environment.
- One year of experience as an instructor preferred.
