The College of Education at Texas A&M International University seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future part-time Adjunct Faculty appointments in Reading online. Successful applicants may teach up to seven semester credit hours within the required discipline at the university's on-campus site as dictated by student demand, hold virtual office hours, and assist students as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Teach reading education courses online
  • Develop and implement curriculum for reading education courses
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Hold virtual office hours and meet with students as needed
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of reading education programs

**Requirements**

  • Early doctorate in Reading Education or in Reading
  • Three years of EC-12 teaching experience
  • Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level
  • Experience with online course delivery

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation
  • Experience with assessment and evaluation of student learning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

**Working Conditions**

  • Work is performed in a university setting with frequent interaction with students, faculty, and staff
  • May require occasional travel to on-campus site
