Innova Solutions is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Technician to assist our clients in the DFW region.

  • Location: DFW area
  • Preferred candidates will have experience with AMX, Crestron, and Extron systems
  • This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with a competitive pay range of $23-37/hr based on experience
  • A background check and drug screening (including THC) will be required
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for executing installation tasks for various audiovisual projects, which may include: pulling cables, installing connectors, and mounting equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute installation tasks for audiovisual projects, including but not limited to: cable pulling, connector installation, equipment mounting, and metal fabrication.

• Interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.

• Utilize hand and power tools for soldering and crimping connectors, along with other AV-related tasks.

• Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and rack wiring.

• Install projector and screen support structures.

• Conduct point-to-point functionality testing of systems.

• Perform field installations of control programs (AMX/Crestron) and manage upload/download capabilities.

• Make minor programming adjustments under the guidance of an engineer or programmer.

• Provide direction to the installation team as instructed by the Project Manager.

• Conduct client training as necessary.

• Act as a customer liaison in the absence of the Project Manager.

• Maintain job documentation as required.

• Demonstrate leadership on job sites.

• Travel to various job sites as needed.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.

• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of hand and power tools.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Basic computer skills.

• Understanding of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control systems.

• Capability to manage small to medium-sized projects.

• Minor programming skills (AMX/Creston) for troubleshooting and adjustments.

Education and Experience

• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in audiovisual installation is preferred.

• Formal education in Electronics or a related field is preferred.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range: $23-37/hour.
