Job Summary

Mobile Staff Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for planning, laying out, installing, and repairing wiring, conduit, electrical fixtures, and control equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reads diagrams or blueprints to understand electrical systems.
  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit using various tools.
  • Pulls wiring through conduit, assisted by a helper.
  • Splices wires with a knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal caps.
  • Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools.
  • Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, and fastens in place with screws or bolts using hand or power tools.
  • Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads.
  • Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using a multimeter.
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Loads, transports, and unloads material, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintains tools and equipment.
  • Able to distinguish colors.
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of electrical experience.
  • Provide personal basic tools to perform job tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Vocational or Technical certification (preferred).
  • Able to maintain regular, full attendance.
  • Able to work overtime during the week and weekend.
  • Able to grow in the position with a positive and willing attitude.
  • Able to remember and understand instructions, guidelines, and additional essential information.
  • Able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of self or others.
  • Able to legally work in the United States.
  • Able to pass a physical, drug, and background check.
